Question for readers: Why do most reachouts on LinkedIn address me by my last name - Palter - instead of my first name, DC, or an honorific, Mr. Palter? I've seen this commonly with Indian English, but in American English it's always been considered rude and reserved for teenage boys shouting at each other. Is this a millennial thing, or is everyone hiring oversees assistants to do their outreach for them?
